In the centre of our glassworks stands a clay pot — it is the heart of our operation; the molten crystal it heats, our lifeblood.
Handcrafted (of course) in the picturesque Shibden Valley of Halifax, England, using a local fireclay renowned for its capacity to withstand unusually high temperatures, this small, rather modest clay sculpture helps us breathe life into earth’s rare elements. It is where the alchemy that is crystal making begins, the genesis of all we do.
Day after day, week after week, month after month, the craftsmen of NovaScotian Crystal draw from this lifeblood to create the unique and functional pieces that make up our line of products. The uses varied, we’ve often referred to our creations globally as ‘art you can drink from’.
